BRIEF FROM HISTORY

Vattakarai RC Churuch, Nagerkovil was established in 1959. The exterior of the church has changed little over the years but the interior has been extensively modernised and renovated. The local Catholic community is relatively small but very active and friendly. Numerous events occur annually, including a Summer fete and Autumn Fayre. The Church Hall is used every Sunday for Children’s Liturgy, morning coffee for the parishioners after Mass and other social functions throughout the year. The parish has strong links with the local RC Primary School.
